What you'll do

Join us for an informative and engaging workshop that explores the art of candle making. We will share practical skills and knowledge to give you the confidence to create your own selection of candles to take home, or gift to friends and family.

During the workshop, you will:

  • build your understanding of the science behind candle making;
  • explore wax types and the associated benefits and pitfalls;
  • learn how to calculate wick size and fragrance loading;
  • practice mixing and pouring techniques;
  • navigate common problems and troubleshooting methods; and,
  • make a selection of natural soy wax candles to take home.

This session is all about learning technical skills while having fun and sharing your creativity.  You will leave with a number of handmade candles in your own fragrance selections and the knowledge to keep producing at home.

FAQs

Can I cancel or reschedule my attendance at a public workshop?

Yes, but we do require advance notice of 14 days or more.

This notice period allows us to either secure new participants or make a decision to postpone the course for all attendees.  A fee of $85 (per person) applies for late cancellations.

If you are seeking to reschedule to a new date & time, this will be subject to course availability and is at the discretion of The Studio by Kennelbrook®.

What is the difference between a public and private workshop?

As you would probably expect, a public workshop is open to anyone and everyone; whereas a private workshop is for closed groups and creates a more private and relaxed experience.

Private workshops are perfect for friends and family or even work groups who are looking to connect in an informal and fun way.
